The Group meet twice a year with stakeholders such as the operators of Perth Airport, representatives from Airservices Australia and the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts to discuss matters which either directly or indirectly impact on the community such as aircraft noise, flight paths, off-airport development, on-airport development etc.

Objectives

  • To provide a forum of meaningful discussion on issues which affect Metropolitan Airports and their environs;
  • To investigate, report and formulate recommendations in respect of matters affecting or likely to affect the development of Metropolitan Airports;
  • To monitor the use and environmental impact of Metropolitan Airports on neighbouring communities;
  • To advise relevant State and Federal ministers, State and Commonwealth government departments, Aircraft Noise Ombudsman, Airservices Australia and the owner/s of Metropolitan Airports on issues of major concern affecting airports and the surrounding communities.
